In Bankruptcy you do not automatically lose your home, your personal belongings or your car. You can continue in business ( but not as a director of a Limited Company) and earn a living and only in a VERY FEW cases will it effect your job.

Provided that you assist the Official Reveiver with their investigations you should expect an automatic discharge from Bankruptcy in 12 months. On occasions the Official Receiver will grant an early discharge if they have concluded their investigations earlier.
