No appointment necessary as the Royal Courts of Justice offer a walk in facility,
The process at the High Court ( RCJ ) is different to all other courts.
The court fee is £522 for a sole petition rather that £510 over the rest of the country.
The court fee needs to be paid in cash at the "Court Fees" office. This opens at 10am.
The clerk will take the completed statement of affairs and print the receipt on the front page.
There is then a long walk to the 2nd floor of the Thomas Moore Building where there is usually a que to present the Statement of Affairs to the bankruptcy clerk. They have recently changed and now require 3 sets of documentation. You need to be at the window before 12 noon.
Once you have sworn an oath they will ask you to return to the 1st floor of the Thomas Moore Building at 2.30 to collect your Bankruptcy Order.
